The Sintesys and Idillium air purification systems have been originally designed for smoking rooms but can be used for cleaning and sanitizing any kind of ambiance. They can be either fixed under the ceiling or on the wall. They integrate a silent fan that aspirates the ambient air via the central grid and blows the cleaned air at 360° through the grids of the lateral surfaces.

 

Both systems integrate the EFIS concept, consisting in an Electrofiltration (EF) cell en a Negative Air Ions Generator (NAIG). The EF-cell and the NAIG are respectively installed before and after the ventilator.

 

The Basic System has a basic control system and continuously rebalances the air with negative  ions (NAIs), without significantly increasing their initial concentration.

 

The Nature System has an intelligent control system that is pre-programmed according to the ambiance to be treated. Eight programmes exist, each applying a specific tension on the EF cell and pulsing the NAIS during a specific time.

 

For instance, in polluted areas, like in smoking rooms, the control system in "day mode" will first activate the electrofilter in order to remove most of the particles. The ionisation is not activated at this stage in order to avoid the attraction of the particles on the room and lung surfaces. After a certain time, when the particle concentration has been abated, the NAIs are pulsed at a level giving not more that 1000NAIs/cm3 in the ambiance. When the "night mode" is activated, the ion concentration is increased up to a level of 10.000NAIs/cm3, increasing the air deodorisation and the micro-organism abatement efficiency in the ambient air.

 

In sanitary areas, since the ambiance is less polluted with particles, the tension on the EF is lower but the pulse time of the NAI generator is higher.

 

It has been validated by the BSRIA, the UK's premier centre for building services technologies, information and consultancy.

The fan has 3 speed settings and can be regulated via remote control. The electrostatic filter has a better efficiency if the speed is low, since the contact time increases.
